Among the Saranac Open Nightstand's enduring Stickley construction features are strong mortise-and-tenon joinery, visible corner splines, and a side-hung, center-guided drawer with a sturdy, dovetailed box; a spacious bottom shelf adds space for storage or display. The Saranac Collection is a beautiful example of the sustainable use of timber, crafted from rustic offcuts of black walnut. Unpredictable grain patterns and color, knots and burls, splits, worm holes, and even linear ruts left by a hollow stem (\"pith\") are among the qualities that are unique from one Saranac piece to the next.
